Coastal burial at sea viewing from shore

Let family and friends gather on the coast to have a shoreside viewing of your loved one’s burial at sea. Our local insight can give suggestions on the best locations for viewing a burial at sea from the shore. We will help your group find a beautiful land location to be or find a great viewing spot next to the special spot that had meaning to your loved.

The Shoreline burial at sea process

Together we will agree upon a meeting point and time that best suits your group needs. Once in front of the land location our captain will call to verify you see the boat. The captain or any family aboard the boat can then place the ashes into the sea. The captain will then blow the horn and perform the traditional sailor’s goodbye. As an extra some families choose to also release doves, butterflies, or extra flowers leaving a trail create more awareness. Afterwards we will send you a certificate with the Geo-coordinates (latitude and longitude) of where the ashes began their journey and entered the Pacific. This whole process can be customized to your group and how you want to celebrate the departed.

The experience was memorable. The staff was excellent both during the process of preparing for the scattering at sea and especially during the scattering at sea. Very thoughtful, caring and well organized.
We used the yacht to scatter out loved one’s ’ashes. The service was impeccable and the staff was very professional. They went above and beyond to make this a great experience. I would recommend them any day and any time.
Nice yacht and Captain and his mate for the service. They were very helpful and explained the process. The boat was nice and they had cold bottled water some cookies and coffee waiting. We opted to have a bagpiper for our service and it was quite spectacular along with the spreading of the ashes with the roses. You would highly recommend this operation
Our family was looking at ways to scatter our parents’ cremated remains at sea, when I found Los Angeles Yacht Charter. While not inexpensive, their prices were reasonable and I was impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. They have a lot of experience with Burials at Sea and were extremely helpful in guiding us through the process. The basket with rose petals used to scatter the ashes was a nice touch. The Captain and his Mate were extremely helpful in accommodating our requests to make the service more personal. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations and everything was perfect. My highest recommendations!
Excellent sea burial service. Easy reservation. Clear communication. Easy access to Marina Del Rey dock. Very nice Lady M boat. Captain Michael and Dan were great. Overall excellent experience.
