In August 2025 we chartered a small yacht for a Burial at sea service. Captain Mike and his assistant were extremely cordial, considerate and friendly. The entire proceeding was managed and carried out on time, professionally and impeccably. I highly recommend this company.

The experience was memorable. The staff was excellent both during the process of preparing for the scattering at sea and especially during the scattering at sea. Very thoughtful, caring and well organized.

Quick, easy, and straight forward to book. The crew was awesome, the guests for my mother’s service spanned 5-85 years old and the crew was accommodating and helpful for all.

Great service clean boat they explain everything so there is no confusion and they walk you through the whole process will definitely be using again and recommending to all family and friends

Nice yacht and Captain and his mate for the service. They were very helpful and explained the process. The boat was nice and they had cold bottled water some cookies and coffee waiting. We opted to have a bagpiper for our service and it was quite spectacular along with the spreading of the ashes with the roses. You would highly recommend this operation

Our family was looking at ways to scatter our parents’ cremated remains at sea, when I found Los Angeles Yacht Charter. While not inexpensive, their prices were reasonable and I was impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. They have a lot of experience with Burials at Sea and were extremely helpful in guiding us through the process. The basket with rose petals used to scatter the ashes was a nice touch. The Captain and his Mate were extremely helpful in accommodating our requests to make the service more personal. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations and everything was perfect. My highest recommendations!

I arranged for an Ashes at Sea service for my brother. I rented a 65' catamaran and we had about 25 people in attendance for this event. From the get-go, no matter who I talked to, emailed or texted at LA Yacht Charter, they were very responsive, accommodating; they answered all my questions... even my repeated questions. I was arranging this from Texas and Yes the boat looks like the picture. It was PERFECT and very well maintained and clean (not fishy). The crew were very kind, caring, helpful... just fantastic. I was a bit overwhelmed just due to the circumstances, but I was able to hook up via Bluetooth to play music through their speakers, which was wonderful. Everyone was super impressed. It was a beautiful day, a heartfelt, beautiful good-bye. I highly HIGHLY recommend Los Angeles Yacht Charter. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

We went out on the Dreamer from Ventura Harbor. The service went off without a hitch and we were able to have the perfect send-off for my ocean loving husband. This was my forth year going out on a boat with friends and I couldn’t say enough great things! The captain and crew are always amazing, so helpful and kind. This year they even found us two pods of dolphins during our 4 hour trip! It was truly magical and such a fun experience! Highly recommend!

I worked with the team at Los Angeles Yacht Charter to organize an ash scattering for our family. After doing some research and reading some reviews, I decided to go with Los Angeles Yacht Charter. From the moment I reached out, they were responsive, professional, extremely courteous, and respectful. They were consistently that way from beginning to end. I thought for sure they would blow me off at some point because I asked so many questions throughout the process but, no, they were kind and responsive through all of it. The actual service went very well. Everything went as described/planned. The crew (Mike and captain Dan) was prompt, friendly, courteous, professional, respectful, and extremely helpful. My dad's ashes were carefully placed in a basket and covered with flower petals to reduce the risk of the ashes getting blown away. Mike gave us detailed instructions on how to best scatter the ashes. We followed his instructions and the whole process went smoothly. I could not have asked for a better outcome as we laid my dad to rest in his final resting place.

This was a great experience! Highly recommended, Captain Guy and Dottie were the best crew we could have asked for. They were very accommodating and made sure we had the best time in the world on our voyage. The yacht was in great shape and nothing was unexpected except for the dolphins that swam next to the yacht for about 30 minutes! 10/10

We booked the Outsiders vessel for a family of six event ; had a wonderful and very memorable moment onboard the vessel.The vessel was super clean , well decorated , with all we needed onboard to feel at home ( fully equipped kitchen with typical utensils, Gas BBQ on the lower deck , leaving area with smart TV , Audio with Bluetooth…etc. ). The captain ( John C. ) was very experienced and knew where to take us for what we hope to experience at high sea. We asked to see Dolphins and he took us right in an area where we were very lucky to spend great time and memories watching one of the best Dolphins Stampede alongside the vessel for long time…I would recommend the service without hesitation.Thanks to the Outsiders administration team and crew for a seamless experience from start ( booking ) till the end.Aaron

I used Los Angeles Youct Charter to help spread my mothers ashes in the ocean per her wishes. The process to book was fairly quick. They provided multiple options for group sizes and allowed me to upgrade when we needed more space. Once the boat was arriving, the caption called me to make sure I didn't have any questions. On the vessel, the deck hand was very respecful and helped guide us on when to have people speak and when it was time to prepare the ashes and then lower them. She offered to help at any stage or we could take charge. Very flexable. The boat was large enough and steady enough to walk around. Easy to find a quiet space to morn or be close to loved ones during this difficult time. I am very greatful for their communication, kindness and attention to the situation. I will note, they did bring their children with them. The children were very respectful, stayed out of the main area of the mornors and were not a distrubance in any way.

It couldn't have gone any better. Michael and Dan were both great. The whole family thought it was perfect and fitting for what our deceased loved ones would have wanted. Thank you!

My sister-n-law requested a burial at sea which was new to our family. I contacted Los Angeles Yacht Charter and they were very informative and answered any questions I had immediately. On 6/29 we were greeted by Michael and Dan and they were great hosts. They made the journey to my sister-n-laws final resting spot off Malibu a breeze. Afterwards a group of dolphins followed us back which made it a beautiful moment.

I flew in from Utah to spread my moms ashes.The entire experience exceeded my expectations. From scheduling to the crew on the boat, the service was amazing. They assisted me in getting the needed California permit so it was in place when I arrived. I highly recommend this company.

I had used another charter company before but when it came to scheduling a day trip, this company was so much easier to communicate with. Timely text message responses. Fair pricing. And also they have multiple options on boats and staff. I have a new favorite yacht rental company.

The experience was absolutely amazing! The boat was nice and clean the captin was great! We came from Texas to spread my moms ashes back in her home town. Such a beautiful day it was and over 100 dolphins guided the boat back into land. Before my mom passed she told her grandkids to look for dolphins and to know she is always with them! We had over 100!!! It was the greatest send off and gave my family just comfort knowing that she was with us!

This company is organized and efficient. It was very efficient from the time I spoke to someone who explained everything to me and gave me a quote till the day of the scattering. The process from the start to the end was smooth. They made this emotional day easy, smooth and comfortable- they told us what to expect, the schedule and the travel time. The Captain of the boat Gary was kind and professional. He went through the safety precautions/procedure and took us to his favorite spot. No matter your age, or how long they are ill, losing a beloved parent is not easy. If your parent wants cremation, it’s another issue to deal with. Los Angeles Burial at Sea were so unbelievably helpful. From the 1001 texts messages I did back and forth, I believe with Benjamin who was so very, very kind to Capt. Eddie and Carlos on the day of, who were just wonderful! They really made a difficult moment so peaceful. I will be forever grateful and I highly, highly recommend them.

While my mother passed nearly six months ago, we had to wait to honor her wish for a burial at sea. Deepest appreciation to Los Angeles Charter for all of their help in taking mom to her final resting location. I was able to coordinate all details in advance online & via text communications...so easy! I received reminder notices via text and email, which were helpful. Super easy to park and get to Dock 55 in Marina Del Rey! Captain Joe & his first mate were wonderful and thought of the things that we hadn’t, and provided us with the non-traditional “service” we wanted and needed. The yacht was lovely, lots of seating inside & out. Best of all, though beyond all of our control, were the unbeatable conditions and gorgeous day.Big thanks to everyone at Los Angeles Charter Yachts. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again for any occasion that necessitates or benefits from a yacht rental!!

I can't say enough about the people at Los Angeles Yacht Charter who provided the burial at sea for our family's matriarch. Everyone was kind, considerate, and friendly. Most importantly, they went above and beyond to show they understood how we were feeling and spent time genuinely getting to know our family. Britt, Captain Joe and Carlos...aces all the way. I highly, highly recommend this company if you've lost a loved one and want a burial at sea. I never experienced this type of burial before. Looking out over the roses and petals scattered in a circle was BEAUTIFUL!!! And as a perfect way to say goodbye...a school of dolphins jumping through the air as we circled the burial site. She loved dolphins and now gets to swim amongst them eternally. Thanks again crew.
